Kids Cooking Connection Current Classes
What KCC Kids Learn While Mastering the Art of Cooking.
Cultivate a sense of good nutrition in your kids by signing them up for cooking classes at The Kids Cooking Connection! Our classes are fun, safe, and teach kids how to make healthy food choices. But KCC cooking classes offer so much more. They encompass math skills through measuring, counting, fractions, and sequencing. Reading skills are sharpened as they read recipes and increase their vocabulary. Science and Chemistry concepts are explored through making predictions, experimenting, observing how food changes, and learning how and where food grows. We touch on geography and history as we explore International cuisines and generational recipes. There is a focus on art and creativity when young chefs learn that we eat with our eyes learning presentation and use of colors can make a dish taste even better. Chefs will make new friends, improve their social skills through teamwork, sharing, and responsibility. Cooking is a universal skill that offers a unique opportunity to explore many life lessons. We hope you will join the KCC family fun!

Chef for the Day
This party is great for all ages. The Kids Cooking Connection will help you design a special menu that your birthday boy or girl and their guests will LOVE making and eating. Birthday chefs can choose from menu options to prepare and enjoy their special meal.
Baker for the Day
Does your birthday boy or girl love to bake? This birthday party will be one they won't forget. They will measure, mix and bake their way to tasty desserts made from scratch.
Specialty Birthday Party - ages 10 & up
These birthday events are designed for ages 10 and up. Birthday guests will work in teams, having a blast whipping up an entree and dessert round from the "mystery box" of ingredients. Chefs will have access to the KCC pantry to create their composed dishes. The two rounds will be timed for extra excitement. Don't worry if your kids do not know how to cook. We will have instructors guide them through the process and instructions on how to use the kitchen tools, on kitchen safety and a pantry tour. At the end the kids will enjoy their delectable creations.

Cooking
Senior communities are also an ideal setting where students young and young-at-heart will learn about nutrition and preparing healthy foods from scratch.
If your relatives Assisted Living Community or Nursing Home is interetsed in having a KCC class, please contact us to set up an event. We use fun, age appropriate lesson plans that lay a foundation for a life of memories in the kitchen.
Senior adults are invited to watch, participate, or help mentor a child in the class, bringing the intergenerational community together for precious learning time around the table.
In order to host a class, the senior community is asked to provide a clean space in a common area or activity room with a sink. (No fancy kitchen is needed as many of the recipes are made using simple tabletop appliances).
There is no cost to a seniors’ community for hosting a class presented by The Kids Cooking Connection.
Senior adults attending a class may be asked to sign a model release form.
We invite you to join The Kids Cooking Connection by offering this program as we bring together children and seniors with healthy cooking education and important life skills.
